Lego World of Fun

Today my mom bought me and my brother a pack of Lego Toys and a big, unbuild Lego Tower. It's so cool. I made the Lego Spiders first. It's hard, but it's also a lot of fun. While I was building it, I began to love Legos. The lego turned out so cool.

Since me and my little brother loves building legos so much, we planned to make a Lego World in my room. We have everything we needed. The spiders, the Lego Tower, the knight and the Lego Creatures. I really can't wait to build it and have a lego world in my room.

Last year, when I was visiting Disney World in Orlando, Florida, I saw a store called Lego World. It's fuul of big robots, Creatures made out of Lego Pieces. They were amazing. I am going to that place this summer. I could get some ideas from that place. I can't wait for that surprise too.

I Can't Wait To Go Back To School

I can't wait until school start. It's not because I'm not enjoying summer. It's because I actually miss school. When I start school this year, I am going to be in Fifth Grade.

I think I'm going to love being a fifth grader, because fifth graders get to have the lead part in the Spring Musical, design a car for The Art Car Parade, and lots of other fun stuff.

I asked the graduated fifth graders and they said their fifth grade year was awesome. So I am really looking forward to it.
There's only three more weeks until school time. I can't wait.

Oliver Twist

Just a few months ago, a friend told me she watched a movie called Oliver Twist and said it's a real sad movie. I wondered how sad it is, so I watched it.

I found out it's a very sad movie. I can't believe how sad it is.
It's about an orphan boy named Oliver Twist. The movie began when he asked the owner of his orphange if he could have some more food to eat. The owner was mad and decided to sell him. That was the sad part.
It was a cold winter day. They searched for people who wanted to buy Oliver and made him work. They visited a lot of stores, but nobody wanted him. Finally they found a mean guy who wanted Oliver to work in his store. Oliver was treated badly, so he ran away.

I would like to watch this movie again someday. It's sad, but it's a great movie.

Read it and Weep

Last night I watched my favorite movie, it's called Read it and Weep. It's about a girl named Jamie, whose diary became a best seller book.

It all happened when she accidentally turned her journal in as a writing assingment to her teacher. In her journal, she talked about all her friends at school, but with using another name. Her teacher loved the writing assignment A.K.A Jamie's Diary. So the teacher published her assignment to a book. Guess What? It became a best seller. Everybody was reading it and all her friends loved it. She became popular until she accidently told a news reporter, that all her characters in the book is based on her friends at school. She was in a big trouble. Nobody in school wants to talk to her. She's miserable.

If that happened to me, I wouldn't worry so much, because all the stuff that happened to me is pretty much what I write in my blog.

I am thinking about doing another journal similar to Jamie's, how she changed all the name, and some stuff that happened. I think she's pretty smart to think of that idea.

By the way, I think the movie "Read it and Weep" was a great movie. I loved it. It's my favorite movie!

Piano, Songs and Mozart

I love piano. It's going great. I am on my 3rd book and in the next book I am going to be able to play "Fur Elise" by Ludwig Van Beethoven and "Turkish March" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Mozart and Beethoven are both my favorite composers, so I like their songs.

I like Mozart since I watched a movie called "Amadeus" It's kind of scary, so I just watch half part of the movie. By watching the movie, I found out that Mozart began playing piano when he was just three years old and began to compose songs when he was not much older than I am. He wrote thousands of songs, but not all of them are famous. He is an amazing composer. He was the first composer I studied about. That is why I know a lot of things about him and still remember him.

The Greatest Circus Show On Earth

Last night I went to the circus with my friend, Callie. We had so much fun there. The circus is not outdoors. It’s in a big building called Reliant Stadium. The stage was so big and there were thousands of performers and animals, like Tigers, Elephants, Horses, Zebras and dogs. I have a lot of favorite parts of the show, because the whole show was amazing. One of my favorite parts of the show was when the instructor taught huge elephants to sit down. It was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen, because the elephant is so big and the chair isn’t very big. These elephants must’ve been trained since they were babies.

I also loved seeing Sky Surfing. The sky surfers were really good. On the floor they put something soft so if one of the sky surfers accidentally fell, they wouldn’t get injured. I saw two sky surfers fell, because they tried to do a really hard trick. They had to do a two flips in a row in the air and try to move to the other string. I wouldn’t want to try that. It’s pretty both scary and amazing to watch. I’m glad I was able to watch it. It’s ONE OF THE GREATEST CIRCUS SHOWS ON EARTH!

Classical Music

I like classical music since I entered a contest called Music Memory. Music Memory taught me a lot of thing about Classical songs and their composers. I learned about Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart, and many other composers.
In the contest someone will play the tape full of classical music for 20 seconds, when the time is up, you have to get the answer of the name of the song and composer. The other part of the test is all about the composers and the songs, such as:
When was this song composed?
When was the composer born?
There are a lot of questions. I can’t list them all. Last year I got third place in Music Memory. At least I tried.

My favorite composers are Beethoven, Mozart and Bach.
I like Beethoven because his compositions are very good.

My favorite one is called “Fur Elise”. I’m going to be able to play it soon, because it’s in my next piano book level. What surprised me most about Beethoven is that even though he has hearing problem, he was still able to compose songs.

My Music teacher showed my class the movie called: “Beethoven Lives Upstairs” It’s a great movie. I loved it so much. Some of the scenes are sad, and some are about Beethoven’s interesting life. He inspired me a whole lot.

The great painters

I love art. If it weren't for Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, George Seurat, Vincent Van Gogh and many other famous painters, there wouldn't be the impression of Cubism or Pointilism. I learned this from Mrs. Young, my Art Teacher. She taught me a lot of useful things about art.

I have a lot of favorite painters, like Pablo Picasso, Georgia O'Keefe, Vincent Van Gogh and Henri Matisse. They are awesome. I like Picasso because he invented Cubism Paintings. That kind of art is so intresting. It's a painting made from little cubes. I bet it's really hard to make a cubism painting. My favorite Cubism painting of his is The Three Musician. Picasso is really great.

Picasso's not my only favorite. I also like George Seurat. My favorite painting of his is "THE SUNDAY AFTERNOON ON THE ISLAND OF THE GRAND JATTE" I think it's very beautiful. Here's a picture of it.


My art teacher brought my class to see THE MUSEUM OF HOUSTON FINE ARTS. There we saw one of Seurat's greatest painting. It's called "YOUNG WOMAN POWDERING HERSELF." I really can't believe it. I actually saw it. That field trip was one of the best!


I also like Vincent Van Gogh. my favorite painting of his is THE STARRY NIGHT. When I was in Third Grade, I made a painting similar to it, but it wasn't that good.

But one of my painting that I made when I was in third grade is shown in Mc.Donald restaurant. It has been 2 years now, still hang up there. I always enjoy going there, eat and see my painting.

I love art since I learned the details about it. I think I am going to love art
forever!

One fun pool party

On Sunday, I went to my friend, Shiza's birthday party. It was a pool party and the party was a blast. She rented a water slide and a pink inflatable pool for her party. She put them outside in her backyard. The party was really awesome. She even made a lemonade stand filled with Chips, Watermelons, and two kinds of lemonades, my favorite was the Pink Lemonade. It tastes great.

When I went on the water slide, I tried different kinds of positions. My favorite was the roll. My friend, Arden taught me how to do it.

After we played with the water slide, we all went to Shiza's Neighborhodd Clubhouse and Pool. In the pool me and my friends played a lot of games. We even tried to meditate underwater. I know it sounds silly, but it's kind of fun. I actually floated in the water for a while. I didn't know how I'd done that, but I did it. That party was one of the best pool party ever!

The Broadway Musical

Last night I went to Hobby Center to watch a Broadway Musical, The Lion King with my friend, Manisha. No, it's not the one in New York. It's similar to it, but it's in Houston. The play was awesome. I love it. It was just like the movie or maybe it's better. I laughed almost at the whole thing. Especially when Timon and Pumbaa came into the story.

My favorite characters in the movie are: Simba, Nala, Timon and Pumbaa. They all are awesome. I like Timon and Pumbaa because they cracked me up. They eat disgusting stuff in the jungle and they sing silly songs. One of the songs they sang was "Hakuna Matata" it means "Don't Worry". They teached Simba that song, because he is worried that Scar, his evil uncle would take his place as King of The Jungle.


I like Simba and Nala bacause they're the heroes. If it were not for them, all the animals will die in the jungle because of no food. There wasn't any food in the jungle bacause Scar, the new King is a very bad king. He only cares about himself. He didn't care about how hungry the other animals were. So when Nala found Simba, together they defeated Scar and Simba became the new KING OF THE JUNGLE.

The costumes are designed great. The stage was set up nicely, and the actors were incredible. I love the musical. It's the best!

The Musical

I love musicals. I love to watch it and be in it. My school made a play twice a year. The Spring and the Christmas Musical. Usually The Nutcracker is the Musical in Christmastime. In the Christmas play, the fourth graders will be the lead player. Last year, when I was in fourth grade, I got the lead part as Marie or sometimes people call it, Clara. It was a lot of fun. I wish we could do it every month.


The spring musical when I was still in 3rd Grade is called "OZ". It's very similar to The Wizard of Oz. I got the part as the Cowardly Lion who wants to be king of the jungle, but he's too scared. Every year the play changes. it's not always the "Oz". A year after that, the play is called "The Jungle Book". In The Jungle Book. I got the part as The Wolf and the Monkeys. Too bad I had to miss the show, I was out of town. I really wished I was there.

I love Animals

I love animals. Especially monkeys. I know monkeys can get on your nerves, because they're annoying sometimes, but they're really cute and smart. My mom told me she used to have a monkey when she was my age, so I asked her if I could have a monkey, she said no, because monkey is a very big responsibility and they will mess up the house while I am at school.

Monkey's not my only favorite animal. I also love horses. I started to love horses since the first time i watched a show called The Saddle Club. It's about three girls, raising their horses, Comanche, Starlight and Prancer in a stable called The Pine Hollow. I love that show. It became one of my favorite shows.

Besides monkeys and horses, I also love other animals, such as Dolphins, Cats, Hamsters and almost all animals, except the wild ones, like Tigers, Snakes and bears.

One time my teacher assigned me a writing assignment. It was to write about one of the endangered animals. I chose a Red Panda. I am so sad they are endangered. they are so cute. I don't understand why they picked the name, Red Panda for this creature. it doesn't look like a panda at all. I wish I could save all the endangered animals. Not all the endangered animals are dangerous. Here's the picture of the red panda.

Adventure In Arkansas

My dad's friend from college invited my whole family to visit his ranch in Emerson, Arkansas. It's a really cool ranch. It has a lot of horses playing around in the grass.

The first thing I did was riding on the four wheeler to see the horses. The ride was fun and a horse named Sawny came up to me. Sawny's a great horse. He is 12 years old.

In the evening we went to see the baby horses. The baby horses are so cute. Some of them are about 4 months old. They are way taller than what I imagined. I learned that a boy horse is called Stallion. It reminded me of a movie called The Black Stallion.

At night I rode in the four-wheeler to look for deers. On the way back to the house in the ranch, I saw a big bird flew on top of me. That bird is actually an owl. Owls are pretty big. Did you know that owls can twist their heads almost three-quarters of the way around without moving their bodies?

In the morning I got to ride a horse. I rode Sawny and Misty. Misty is 20 years old. She's the oldest horse in the ranch. She's also a very sweet horse. It's not very hard to get on Misty, because she's not a big horse, but it's hard to get on Sawny because he is one big horse. I love riding horses.

Then we went to Lake Claibourne to ride on a boat. It was really fun. We stopped for lunch. I had a hot-dog for lunch. Then I rode on a jet ski. It was really fun too. Especially in the turns. Then I got on my car and we drove back to Houston. i got to Houston exactly at midnight. It was a great adventure!

Scrabble Fun

My favorite board game is called Scrabble. It's like a crossword puzzle, but you could play this with lots of people. Me, my brother and my mom played and Guess What? I won. I beat my mom by 80 points. Scrabble's a fun game.

I played against my dad once, but he beat me by 10 points. I could have won, but the letters that I got is all vowels. How am I suppose to make a word when all the letters that is chosen for me is all vowels? Oh well, at least I tried.
This game taught me al lot of things. One of them is: It doesn't matter if you win or lose, at least you learned new words. That's why I love this game. It's fun and it also makes you smarter.

The Fourth of July Independence Day.

Yesterday was the American Independence Day. It's a holiday celebrating July, 4, 1776. It is when the American declared their independence from The Kingdom of Great Britain.

In this special occasion, me and my family went to Downtown to see the fireworks. We drove around the city of Houston and we saw a lot of them. My favorite firework I saw was the one that shaped like a Heart. Last 4th of July, I saw a firework that was shaped like the American Flag. All the fireworks were beautiful. I wish I could see fireworks every night. They made the city Bright at Night.

7th Heaven

My favorite show is called 7th Heaven. I watch it almost everyday. It's actually an old show. It was first made when I was born, 1996.
The show is about a family, the Camdens who has 5 kids named, Matt, Mary, Lucy, Simon and Ruthie and their friends.

My favorite episode was when Simon decided he wants to move out of his room that he shared with the youngest child, Ruthie and sleep in the attic. After he moved all his stuff into the attic, he got scared. His big brother, Matt gave up his room and move into the attic instead of Simon, so Simon could have his room.

In the newer episodes, where all the kids have grown up, the show is not for kids anymore. So I just keep watching the old episodes. I think the old episodes are funnier.

The Devil Wears Prada

I went to the theatre today with my mom to see a movie called The Devil Wears Prada. It's about a girl named Andie who got a job as the asistant of the editor of a famous fashion magazine called Runway. The editor is very powerful, but mean and bossy. She always makes people sacrifice to get her what she wants. Andie is driving herself crazy by getting what her boss wants, which is everything in the world.

While I watch the movie, I kept wondering why she won't quit that job, but at the end of the movie I found it out. She wants to get a good job review from the editor, so she can easily work in other job. Andy wants to be a journalist and finally she did it. The other top journalists was impressed by the job review.

I learned from Andie that we have to work hard to get what we want. Perseverance!
